My baseball specific program concentrates on unilateral strength, balance, and reactiveness. Baseball players need to be able to move laterally in quick shorts bursts for base running, fielding ground balls, or pursuing a fly ball.
These athletes also need to train for rotational and core strength, which is clearly used when throwing a ball or swinging a bat. Multiple methods of training are utilized to accomplish this end result.
