My basketball program concentrates on plyometrics, agility, speed, and overall strength. Basketball players need to be able to move and change direction fast and efficiently. Movement in basketball is constantly start and stop. It is also a very vertical game so plyometrics become a large part of the training.
As in any agility focused sport unilateral strength and balance is important. My program has an aggressive focus on these aspects of training. The program also focuses on overall strength building through traditional and conventional resistance techniques.
Finally, mobility and flexibility are practiced thoroughly during the duration of the program to help prevent injury.
